This Seller Policy applies to everyone who lists goods on CARTXIO and is part of the Terms of Use. By creating a seller account or listing goods you agree to it.
1. Who can sell
- An Indian business (company, LLP, partnership, proprietorship) or an individual with a valid PAN, lawfully entitled to sell the goods.
- A GST registration (GSTIN) where the law requires you to be registered. Sellers who are not required to register must say so and are responsible for their own compliance.
- A bank account in the name of the seller for payouts.
- No prior ban from CARTXIO or fraud history that we can reasonably identify.
2. KYC and onboarding
You must complete KYC before listing: PAN, GSTIN where applicable, address proof, bank account and, for entities, authority to act for the entity. We may verify them with government and bank data sources and may visit or inspect your warehouse. Listings go live only after approval. You must keep the details current and tell us of any change in ownership, GST status or bank account.
3. Listing standards
- Describe the goods accurately: title, brand and model, grade or condition, quantity, packaging, tested or untested status, defects, accessories, expiry or manufacturing dates where relevant.
- Upload genuine, current photographs of the actual lot. Stock photos may be used only as additional images and must be marked as such.
- Upload a manifest (item list with quantities) for liquidation lots above 50 units.
- State the GST rate and HSN code correctly, the MRP where you quote one, minimum order quantity, lot size, location and lead time.
- Keep stock levels up to date. Overselling and repeated cancellations affect your seller rating and can lead to suspension.
- You must have the right to sell the goods and the right to use the brand names and images you post.
4. Prohibited goods
You must not list anything on the Prohibited Items list. We review listings before and after publication, and may remove them and act against the account.
5. Orders and dispatch
- Accept or reject new orders promptly in Seller Central; unanswered orders may be cancelled.
- Dispatch within 48 hours of confirmation unless the listing states a different lead time, pack as in the Shipping Policy, include the packing list and invoice, and upload tracking within 48 hours of dispatch.
- Do not ship to an address different from the order, and do not ask the buyer to pay or collect payment outside CARTXIO.
6. Tax invoices and GST
You are responsible for issuing correct tax invoices for your sales, charging the correct GST, and filing your returns. Where the Platform generates the invoice for you, it uses the details you provided; you remain responsible for their accuracy. We collect tax at source (TCS) under Section 52 of the CGST Act, 2017 and deduct tax at source under Section 194-O of the Income-tax Act, 1961 where applicable, and provide statements so you can claim credit.
7. Fees
CARTXIO charges a commission on each sale, which varies by category and listing type, plus optional services (for example featured placement or inspection). The applicable rates are shown in Seller Central before you list and on each order statement. Payment-gateway charges, taxes and any agreed freight deductions are shown on the statement. GST is charged on our fees and a tax invoice is issued. We may change fees on notice; a change does not apply to orders already placed.
8. Payouts
- Money for an order is released to you after delivery and the 48-hour condition-check window, if no dispute is open.
- Payouts are made to your verified bank account, normally within 3-5 business days of release.
- We may hold or reverse a payout for an open dispute, a refund owed to the buyer, suspected fraud, unpaid fees, or a legal order, and may set off amounts you owe us against payouts.
- TCS, TDS and fees are deducted from the payout and shown in your statement.
9. Disputes, returns and penalties
- You must respond to a dispute within 72 hours. If you do not, the decision may be made on the buyer's evidence.
- When a claim is upheld (non-delivery, wrong item, not as described, shortage, transit damage that is your responsibility), the refund and the return freight are for your account.
- Repeated upheld claims, late dispatch, cancellations or inaccurate listings can lead to penalties, listing removal, payout holds or suspension.
10. Conduct
Do not manipulate ratings or reviews, bid up or place orders on your own listings, circumvent the Platform's fees or protections, contact buyers outside the Platform to take the sale off it, or misuse buyer data. Buyer personal data may be used only to fulfil the order and meet legal obligations.
11. Suspension and exit
We may suspend or terminate your seller account for breach, fraud, legal requirement or risk to buyers. You may stop selling at any time after fulfilling open orders and disputes. Held funds are settled according to the dispute outcome and applicable law.
